Home League Farewell

These are the days that everyone is getting their farewell wishes in.  This was the case at the Home League meeting on 6 February that was using a heart theme. Lynn had suggested the idea to Major Ella who was in charge of the meeting.  Since her daughter is a nurse she was able to talk about the heart and how we can take care of our heart.  Then Major Ella shared some scripture relating to our heart.   A few Valentine games and activities kept them pretty entertained. What you see in the pictures is the ladies pounding on the flat hearts which then explode and inflate.

Following the meeting several of the ladies shared their kind thoughts and good wishes with Lynn and presented her with a lovely token of love. To go along with the theme Lynn had baked some heart shaped cookies to share with the ladies during tea.  This is kind of special as the ladies do not bake here as most do not have an oven.  Presently even with having an oven baking is difficult as there is load shedding with gas which means the oven temperatures do not get hot enough to bake.  Lynn used the toaster oven to bake the cookies as the regular oven would not get hot enough.  These are the difficulties of life in Pakistan.  But no matter. They find a way.
